Pixie Dust Summer Dashing

Sometimes Third Gate Games events seem to control the weather. If that’s the case, spending a late August evening at Disneyland—where the concrete still radiated roughly 100° at 7 PM—was certainly an interesting experience. Two-person teams met at the Picnic Area at 7:30 p.m. for our third west coast Pixie Dust Dash event that ran from 8 to 11 p.m.

Teams once again faced a set of 15 challenges and 5 eye spy photos as they raced against the clock. The team selfie challenges including recreating a Photo Spot picture, not looking too scared while posing with an Imperial Probe, and posing with a pirate (arrr!). Most teams were able to identify the special molecule, H2ONNY, that is found in a bottle filling station in Bayou Country. 

This display window is located at the exit of the Pinocchio attraction and appears to be where Jiminy Cricket lives. His clothes are on a tiny chair in front of a display of whistles. The one on the bottom left is an Acme Thunderer, which was invented in the 19th century for use by the British police.
