One challenge called for teams to get a selfie on an outdoor attraction

Third Gate Games held our first Pixie Dust Dash on the east coast on the evening of January 24. About 30 teams of two joined in our inaugural game at the Magic Kingdom, assembling in the area between Buzz Lightyear and the Carousel of Progress to learn the ropes and get started. Each team received an envelope containing a page of 15 challenges, which provided riddles and clues to the locations of answers and places where they should snap a team selfie.

During game time from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, teams also had to deal with the nighttime Starlight parade at 7:45 pm and the Happily Ever After fireworks at 9 pm. In addition, some dining locations and attractions closed before the end of the game, which potentially caught some teams off guard. Plotting out a course at the start of Pixie Dust Dash is definitely a key to success.

In order to give more people a chance to try out this new format, we also ran the event the night before MouseAdventure on March 6 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m with 15 teams.
