Which questions were thrown out on Trivia, and why? I’ll be going through ours this week to obsess about the ones I guessed on 🙂

Thanks, CAITLINEG! We definitely didn’t write those down, agh. We had multiple wild theories about the dates on the vest-worker clipboards, the directional arrows, etc. We also tried without success to find hidden words in the Lego quest, lol. Oh well!

Roar Omega Roar had a great time at the event yesterday! Our favorite quest was the one inside the Animation building — shade, AC, and good music 🙂 We scrambled for about three songs until we got a system down, but the quest was smooth sailing once we created a system, haha. We also got lucky and had an over-achiever that wrote down the order the movies/songs were played in. SCORE. We also loved the construction walls. The quest finding the folks in vests was fun as well, until the vests had to be taken off… then it got harder, that’s for sure! This was our first time playing Advanced and we were happy to say we weren’t out of our depth.

What was different for the Basic and Advanced teams this time around? Also, where was the hidden quest? We felt like we were onto it a few times, but none of our theories panned out.

Also, when will winners be announced and scores posted? We heard there were some issues with score tallying (which I’m guessing is why there was no announcement of winners last night?), but we missed the post-event gathering.

    Thanks for a great game!

Eeeeekkk… Roar Omega Roar (formerly Death by Monkeys and Junior Woodchucks) has registered for Advanced for the first time! I’m both excited and terrified. We’ve been playing Basic since 2009 and figured we should probably take the plunge. We swore for years we needed to win Basic to move up, but we’ve come in 2nd and 3rd a handful of times and are starting to think we just aren’t good enough at Trivia to ever win, lol.

Junior Woodchucks had a great game! We’re actually considering playing Advanced during the next round — is it just that Advanced gets more quests, or are there other differences in the divisions as well?

Could I get our team breakdown too? Team 4046, Death by Monkeys.

We had a great game, but the Cars quest ended up costing us a spot in the top three 🙁 We had two of the three Cars correct, but must have screwed something up on the third car along the way. That was our least favorite quest because of the tedium and the standing in the sun for a long period of time. We ended up abandoning it on the first attempt because the area was too crowded and we couldn’t even see the cars clearly. We like the clever, “solving” quests more than the ones like that where there really isn’t any twist to it.

We decoded the MagicBands quest in the security line and the Monsters Inc. line, and found the answer accidentally because that just happened to be where a team member needed to go to the bathroom! How fortuitous. We had an easier time with the Monsters quest because we found a blacklight corner in Belle’s library and wrote the blacklight letters/numbers out there before even hitting the Monsters Inc. ride. Again, how fortuitous! I think our favorite quests were the ones in Grizzly River and the challenge trail. We explored a lot of rope bridges I’d never gone through before, haha.

This game seemed to just come together well for us — we found every single eye-spy, and two quests we found every scrap of info needed (generally we’re missing one or two things and just muscle our way through anyway). This was also the first time we found the hidden quest in enough time to work it out and solve it. We spent a lot of time trying to unscramble the letters without realizing that the order was laid out for us on the white quest packet envelope. That helped a lot once we figured it out!

Overall great game for us, very fun!

Answer to “who runs the den” = The Sun Bonnets. As others have stated, it’s a family restroom at the back of Hungry Bear.

Death by Monkeys had a reasonably good day, but we were SO CLOSE to the end of the Tomorrowland one when we ran out of time and had to guess and turn in. I feel like five more minutes could have cracked it, but alas…

We never attempted the Railroad quest, but we finished all of the others (didn’t see the hidden quest until after the fact… I shoved the teabag in my purse and never gave it a second thought — ROOKIE MISTAKE, lol). Only got about half of the eye spy questions and guessed on the rest. I’ve luckily seen Alice in Wonderland a fair few times, so the trivia went well. I’d also done some last-minute IMDB cramming, which totally paid off 🙂

The Critter Country, Toontown, and Fantasyland quests all went smoothly, but we spent far too much time on the Main Street and Frontierland quests. Our main mistake in Frontierland was not realizing where the boundary of Frontierland extends to — we didn’t realize it goes all the way along the water to Critter Country! We always learn something at MouseAdventure 🙂

Also: I feel like I’m going to notice ampersands everywhere I go now, thanks MA!

Awesome! Any hints about other possible locations for future games?
