Thanks again Third Gate team for hosting another super fun MouseAdventure!! It was SO GOOD to be solving quests back in the parks again. We definitely missed it.

The Churro Chasers are still riding high from our success and can’t believe there were so many solid Advanced teams within a few points of each other.

There were a few moments where the direction-less Advanced quests gave us pause, but the Aha! moment of realizing that we needed the letters “Under the C(‘s)” for Part II of the Tomorrowland quest was incredibly satisfying.

We’re the type of team that doesn’t write down our final answers on the answer sheet until the final minutes of the game, so when we had to turn-in the Part I quests this time, we had a brief moment of panic. We hadn’t written down the final answer for the first part of the Tom Sawyer Island quest anywhere except the page we turned in! Fortunately for us, you were cruel enough to send us back to the island 🙂 so a little detour during Part II allowed us to confirm our final answer again. We learned our lesson when we turned in Part I for the other two quests.

While we missed the regular Eye Spies, we really enjoyed photo-less versions as well. After realizing they were grouped by land, we were able to do one final pass to the lands we were missing from in order to collect a few final answers. We wouldn’t be opposed to a version of trivia that was all questions you could find answers to around the park… We also missed looking for the Hidden Quest, but it was also a relief not having that looming in the back of our minds during the game.

All in all, it was such a fun day. Joe, Chris, David and Steph – you did a wonderful job creating a challenging and fun game, and hosting so many teams at the same time! Thank you to the volunteers as well for helping to make the game a reality for the players! Already looking forward to the next one!

@stephw Since this is happening over two days how will the post-game gathering be organized? Will there be one after each game? Are you anticipating a similar time frame for the game as with other Third Gate games? I’m trying to figure out the logistics if we decide to trek up for this.

    Thanks!

@kingjesse2 Which ones were were you curious about? During the game our team was able to find all but two, but since we’ve learned where those were hidden! I’m happy to help you figure out what you missed!

What a day! The Churro Chasers are completely thrilled with our first place finish!

Like Joe mentioned at the post-game gathering, we were exiting the 5 freeway at 8:15 am, which we thought was plenty of time to check-in and hear the rules presentation. Unfortunately, it took us 25 minutes to exit onto Disneyland Drive, then once we were heading into Mickey and Friends to park, they re-directed us all the way over to the Toy Story parking lot through the worst traffic I’ve seen around the resort. By the time we parked, rode the bus, and made it through security, it was 10am!! As we hustled across the esplanade, we saw yellow lanyards and knew the game had already started.

We booked it down to the AMC theater and were told by an AMC employee that the DuckAdventure staff were no longer there. Fortunately, there was one team outside who helped inform us that Central was the Jolly Holiday. It was roughy 10:20 by the time we finally received our packet and boy did we feel like we had lost time to make up for. Overall we worked really well together, only getting hung up once. Upon turning everything in, we were exhausted, but felt like we gave it our best shot. The post-game ceremony was totally unreal to us. We were simply hoping to make top 10!

Thank you to the entire Third Gate crew and volunteers who made this event happen! I look forward to these events each year and can’t express how much fun I’ve had working with my family as a team. It was an extremely fun day and created a memory we’ll cherish for a long time. Can’t wait for the next one 🙂

Thank you to the Third Gate crew for an amazing day!

The Churro Chasers had a great time as usual. We had to miss both competitive MA events last year, so we were really itching to get out there yesterday. Universal made for a great location and we are thrilled with our second place finish. This was probably the first event our team was really firing on all cylinders, and it felt great.

We cruised through the first several puzzles and felt like we were making great time. We went a little crazy looking for the ET plaque in the lower lot, and then again for Dorothy’s birth date in Westminster, but ultimately found both. This was also the first time our team actually found the hidden quest! Such a fun day all around. I’m already looking forward to the next game.

Do you plan on doing a recap and score list similar to MouseAdventure’s post game process?

Are you able to provide any information around timing of the event? A few members of our team need to arrange childcare for the day.

Just signed up for a Day at the Park due to previous a obligation on Oct 16. I know in the past you’ve been able to offer ticket discounts in conjunction with Disney. Any chance of that happening again for a Day at the Park?

Any word on A Day in the Park? I can’t believe my unfortunate luck – I’ve been invited to 3 weddings this year, and MA happened to exactly fall on two of them. I’d still love to play if there were any other way!
